This is the St. Edward's "Learn to think" ad campaign. Remember, you're not creating a new campaign, just an original magazine ad that fits into this series. That also means that duplicates of these existing ads are off-limits, too. So, put on your art director's hat and get going. For the retro-minded out there, a few episodes of "Bewitched" with ad man Darrin Stevens couldn't hurt.
Who knows? You could be kicking back in Austin on the St. Edward's campus very soon!
What’s different about the St. Edward’s
advertising campaign?
Our advertising tries to surprise you. It
challenges your assumptions about education. The unexpected visuals,
juxtaposed with actual St. Edward’s course titles, are
designed to make you look twice. And why is that student sitting
in every ad? The student symbolizes the real-world nature of
learning at St. Edward's University. We offer more than textbooks
and lectures. Nearly every student at St. Edward’s gets
practical experience in their field of study before graduation,
through internships, research and community service. We teach
students to solve problems ethically, think critically and creatively
and to consider their place in the world. In short, at St. Edward’s,
you “learn
to think.”
