No purchase necessary to enter the contest. Competition is open to students in
high school in grades nine through twelve during the 2005—2006 school year. Open
to legal U.S. residents only. This offer is void in any state or jurisdiction prohibiting
offers or awards of this type or if otherwise prohibited by law. All original magazine
ad concept entries must be postmarked by Nov. 15, 2005. Winners will be chosen
and notified by Jan. 31, 2006. All submissions become property of St. Edward's
University and will not be returned. Winning selections shall be made at the sole
discretion of St. Edward's University and shall be final. Winners will be required
to provide proof of eligibility and provide release by entrant and parent or guardian
of entrant. Prizes will be awarded to individuals only; group entries are not qualified
to win. Employees of St. Edward's University,
its advertising agencies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to win.
Immediate family is defined as siblings, children or spouses. The first
prize is a scholarship for one year of undergraduate tuition at St. Edward's University
and does not cover housing, meal plan or other expenses. The first prize winner
must meet St. Edward's University's admission criteria and must enroll at the
university within five years from date of award to receive the scholarship. Scholarship
award is not redeemable for cash and is non-transferable. Retail value of the scholarship
prize is dependent on the price of tuition at time of admission. Retail value of
Dell™ Inspiron™ Notebook computer is $799.00 and value of Sony Portable DVD/CD
player and DVD collection is $230.00. Winners should consult their own tax advisors
regarding the taxability of prizes. Winners' names and pictures may be used by
the university for publicity purposes.
