Hilltopper Flashback

In 1939 the last St. Edward’s intercollegiate football team tied for the Texas Conference championship.  Soon after, and during World War II, all athletic programs at St. Edward’s were suspended.  After the war the baseball and basketball programs were reinstated but the football program was not.  In 1964 the players from that 1939 Texas Conference championship team met at St. Edward’s for a 25th reunion.
